This week at G&H we had the pleasure of welcoming Jarome Vircel from Lelièvre who brought with him the new collection from the French fabric house and Jean-Paul Gaultier. He also had with him never-before-seen fabrics from France from the Tassinari and Chatel Archive. These fabrics made their way to Australia for the first time, and included some of the most beautiful woven creations for Catherine the Great, Marie Antoinette and the White House.
One of the pieces in particular, once had a lead time of 17 years - making a generation wait for these works of art. This opportunity was a unique experience for our guests and for the G&H staff to touch, feel and explore this range.
We had over 25 people in attendance, eagerly listening to what Jarome and Samantha from Domestic Textile shared. It was a lovely celebration of the international fabric house and the beautiful collections from over 100 years ago.
G&H would like to extend a thanks to Jarome Vircel who travelled from Dubai for visiting our showroom, and Samantha from Domestic Textiles for organising the trip around Australia. We loved learning about these collections and are grateful for the opportunity.
